For those of you that feed collards, do you cook them first or just chop and feed them raw? Laura, I know you feed them, what do you do?

I feed them to my beardies. I just chop them so that they're bite sized. So depends on the mouth of your animal lol :p

I fed them to my rhino. I just ripped them a bit. Nobody is chopping them for them in the wild.

I just rip them into small chunks. Uros have incredibly powerful jaws—my vet can't pry Spike's jaws open using both hands and I've got a scar on my knuckle where he took a piece off—and then can chew up even big leaves with ease.


Are you giving the collards to your tegus?
