lately my female extreme baby has been jumping around in her cage trying to escape i assume. Humidity and temps are all on point, eating turkey as a main staple. Is she curious, do they just try and escape all the time? He cage is about the size of a 40 breeder

She might want more space, let her roam around in a tegu safe room for a while I can't stress "tegu safe" enough lol I let mine out and she let's me know when she wants back in the enclosure

It's very possible she simply isn't satisified with the small amount of space she has access too... I put my hatchling into a 4' x 2' as soon as I got him and he did great. I don't think a 40 breeder is big enough for a hatchling...

I could care less about the furniture, she ran into it and it was like "you wanna play this game" lol she was so mean trying to catch her again she opened her mouth mostly cause I had to manhandle her there was no choice she was all better this morning though still a bit skittish, I'm sure your little one is okay an active tegu is a healthy tegu

Mine is in an 8x4 enclosure and still did the same thing, it seems like she was just confused by her new habitat more than anything.. but she got out for a couple of days and now she never tries to get out even when the door is sitting open haha
