Deer liver

I just started feeding my boys deer liver. They seem to prefer it over ground venison and cubed steak. I rinse the liver very well but it still is a bit on the bloody side. A strange behavior I saw in both Tegus, they seem to like licking up all the blood. I had not noticed this with the chicken livers, but it has been a couple months since I fed them chicken livers.

.50 cal right through the heart. It was a little damaged to say the least  not really worth saving. My Tegus prefer chicken, but since I have a low fat alternative to beef, I use it. My boys still get fish and chicken, berries etc.

I wouldn't bother washing the blood off, no need to really. Let them enjoy the blood.

My first modern muzzleloader was a Knight, that was a long time ago. That particular model kicked like three mules and was hard to clean, had to sell it.

I now use a CVA Optima.

My favorite is my Thompson New Englander with round ball and patch, fun!

I use in black powder one of the very first Thompson Hawkin with a long scope [her name is Bull Thrower ] Also have a long rifle in 40 cal. My old eyes cant make out the sights any more so I don`t use her any more [her name is couptaker ] Recently [several years ago ] I purchased a Thompson Triumph 150 grains powder 300grain sabot . It has a Nikon scope with ranging circles [never found any use for them ] chances are the bullet won`t exit a big buck at 100 yards but I would probably try a 200 yard shot with it .. I like it ... I also have a ruger old army 45 black powder nicely made accurate but will not kill a lion or bear no matter how many times you shoot one .. In most of the old cartridge guns [sharps winchesters ect] I have changed to smokeless powder and Ill never go back ..
