Feeding times to promote activity?

Hi all. Today, part due to my own laziness, and part out of curiosity, I wanted to see if I wait to feed my tegu til later in the day, will he stay out more and not just burrowed. Normally what I do is feed him first thing in the morning, and then he almost always goes back to his burrow 2-3 hours after for the rest of the day. However, today he has been up all day! What are your thoughts?

My guy doesn't get up till noon most days. 11 the earliest. I leave for work at 940, so I don't feed him till 530 or 730 when I get home. He's usually up all day till about 10, lights out at 1015. Some days he stays up past the lights, but not long.

yeah mine burrows A LOT... I hear that's typical of colombians though.

Now i've only had mine for a week or 2 ish, but mostly he gets up around 9 and goes back under some houres later, and then he pops back out around 17.
