hi everybody
i have a arge black and white tegu(female i belive)
i got her on the 26/08/12 she was hatched around the 1/07/12
i have no problems with her except i dont no if i am feeding her to much or not enough because she always seems hungry.
below is want she normally eats in a week
sunday=2 small rat weaners
monday=10 adult locust
tuesday=6 chunks beef stewing steak(raw)
wednesday=2 small rat weaners
thursday=hard boilled egg with grapes,blueberrys
friday=chicken breast chopped in chunks(raw)
saturday=10 adult locust
listed below is her progress since i got her
26/08/12=100grams 15inches
22/09/12=175grams 17inches
01/11/12=250grams 19inches
29/11/12=400grams 22inches
29/12/12=725grams 27inches
25/01/13=1275grams 32inches long

Is that they same schedule you started with her? My opinion is that I would increase the size of the rodents to 1 small rat, and add some fruit to the other days when you just feed eat chunks. I don't know how big the locusts are, but maybe throw a few more in there on those days as well. She's growing, so be sure to add enough calcium to the boneless meat and insects.

no she was on rat fluffs and crickets,i just increased the size of the rats as i went along
the locust are about 3inches long

Increasing the size of rats to include rats with a stronger skeleton with add more calcium and minerals to the diet.
