First Tegu, Need Help Sexing

Greetings! Thought I had better become a member of this group as a first time Tegu owner! Got this little guy/girl in November as a wild caught here in south FL. Really nice colors, big orange belly. It's about 24 inches now, no sign of spurs/buds yet but does have a pretty fat face (jowls?). I was wondering if the experts could chime in and throw me a guess. First picture is the day I brought him home, and a picture I took a few months later (fat!). The second picture I took today. Thanks!

Anyone wanna chime in? I was pretty sure it was a boy because its got a fat pouch around its head and neck, but still no sign of buttons... so maybe it's just a chubby girl? I heard a few of you mention body shape being male vs female etc. Any help would be appreciated!

they have the beads from the beginning its all about being able to see/feel them. usually you will definitely be able to feel them around 8months or so, but that really depends on the size of your tegu. Jowels come in later and the amount of jowels your tegu has can still be female.
