florida tegu owner's?

i would be afraid to own a tegu in florida those stupid idiotic swamp wars people killing tegus retics and burms its sicking how that and rattlesnake round ups are legal

We are a bit overloaded with invasives/exotics here! Not the vast amounts of Burms that everyone claims, but the Cuban tree frogs and anoles, iguanas, cane toads, chameleons, ameivas, greenhouse frogs, plants, birds, etc, etc.

I don't know of any Rattlesnake Round-ups in FL though.

However, there is a great part to having reptiles in Fl, too. I can grow all kinds of organic plants to feed them, they get good basking almost year round, I don't have to fight the humidity.

Swamp Wars and such is media hype.

Swamp wars is media hipe for sure. Being 2 of 3 guys are ball python breeders. What better way to help out their sales then lie about the burm problem, There has been a study on the snakes,they put 10 snakes of different sizes 2-8ft. In a outside cage. And 2 made it throuh the winter. Its not that bad
