Ugh... I know this sounds spammy, sorry! I've been trying to source pindo fruits for well over a year and haven't had any luck. I finally found one site that carries them - but they only seem to have them for about one week of the year.
They finally called me today to tell me that they have one branch available - probably about 15lbs or so. She's also going out of town tomorrow and they won't be good by the time she gets back. I could only take 5lbs because I have limited storage space - but I figure I'm probably not the only one who's been frantically looking for the stuff. For those that haven't seen it one of the wild tegu dietary studies showed that pindo palm dates comprised a fairly large percentage of their diet in the wild. Been trying to find the things since I got Loki a year and a half ago with no luck.
Anyway if anyone else is is trying to find pindo fruit for their dinopuppies I'd email [email protected] tonight or tomorrow morning. This is my first time ordering but they have been incredibly nice and helpful so far so I'm confident in the recommendation.
