I think it's a signe from MBD. I would take him to the vet and maybe he will be put on liquid calcium. I would be very careful if it is MBD and the arm is swollen like this. I don't want to scare you but there is a chance that he could break it because of the weak bones. Did you give him a lot of food with calcium powder or rodents before he went into hibernation ?
