i am jamey, 22 years old and live in the netherlands.
i am keeping reptiles since i was a little guy (7years old)
i bought 2 days ago my red tegu, he is 2.5/3 years old and about 4 feet.
the little guy is in a poor condition, mouth infection, infection in the throat and both eyes are infected. his dieeet was cat and dog food. there where 4 layers old skin on his tail, feets and head. first i wanted to leave but when i took the last look at him i thought, why not? so i took him with me. the people told me that he was in hibernation for 4 weeks, so i ask, why do you sell a animal in hibernation? they dindt know the answer. so im sure that he would have died if he stayed there. when i walked out the door i put him in the car and walked back to tell them that they are some sick **********
after a view hours driving i came home and give him a nice warm bath. after a view minutes he took a very big .... you know what i mean in the mean while i was peeling off his old skin, it didnt bother him at all. it seems liked he enjoyed it. yesterday i took him to the vet and get a antibiotic. so i think everything gonna be allright with my little red friend.
