Hi and welcome. Sounds like it's healthy enough and brumating. The tail is regrowing. Provide a hidecwith moist sphagnum. Fish oil in its food will help with skin and shedding. So will the moist, not soaking wrt, sphag. You can also lotion the shedding area.
