My first Tegu was an adult when I purchased him, but he had been neglected and definitely does not like being held (unless I carry him so he can see over my shoulder). He mostly just likes to eat and roam around and get into trouble. A few days ago I purchased a baby (maybe 1-2 months old) who was also neglected but he has been a ton of fun. Having a young tegu has really given me a lot of insight into how they think and I now have a greater understanding of my adult tegu.
