I just cant keep up

Ugh this extreme giant is driving me up the wall lol, storm is growing like wickedly fast more than doubling in size in 3 wks, he is eating so much i cant keep the bowl full enough he just seemms to keep wanting more, so i give it to him lol, today he ate a bowl of the tegu mixure(ground turkey, chicken necks/hearts/livers/breast/gizzards) then a bowl of shrimps, salmon and eggs and somehow still had room for an adult mouse, i had to call the guy building their enclosure and tell him to scrap the 6x3x3 enclosure we have to now go with with a 8x4x3(my parents are gonna be pissed lol cuz im not moving til july and we gotta stay with them until the apartment is finished but they will get over it) the guy was a lil upset too because he was almost finished with the frame but he understood so now its gonna be another 2-3 wks because he got a few other enclosures for other clients he has to finish, wish i had met himm before the other guy who almost got me for $300 btw i thought i was picking up 2 18" tegus lol ( they are now 29" and 24" and still growing )so i thought a 42X20X20 tub would hold them for a few weeks boy was i wrong check this out:

Holy moley! Good to know I'm not the only one with ballooning tegus! Looks great! Are they eating you out of house and home?

Yes they are lol, when i prepared their food i sectioned them off into 2day meals well now they are wolfing those down in a day plus whatever else i got defrosted lol, its mainly storm but rayne isnt short stoping lol i need to get some pics of him too but its so hard to catch him just lounging cause he is s active especially when out the tub or he is in his burrow sleep

Yeah its crazy how much they eat. I don't know where they put it all! I keep thinking there is NO WAY all of that can fit into a tegu that size lol. Crazy how much Storms grown, hes looking great though, hes gorgeous.
I'm sure you've thought it through already but will the enclosure be able to fit through the apt door when you move?
Does Rayne usually become more active before Storm? I have guru in a different enclosure but hes always the first to get moving when the lights come on and then the first to go to bed..

Good point about fitting I wish I had thought about having something that broke down. They look so great must be going through a big growth spurt.

Yeah my smaller enclosure will fit through a door, barely. The larger one will need to be dismantled when I move... My landlord and I are both hoping I'll be here for a while though lol.

I can understand with the eating part! my extreme eat like a pig and my food bill for my three Tegus is like close to 250 a mos

Wow $250 is alot lol, with 4 mines only came out to about $100-150 a month, right now im at about $50-60 and am looking to be at $100 by the end of summer/hibernation the way storm eats, lol what the heck are you feeding

Almost 250 a month just to feed your tegus :-/,... I hope that's an exaggeration. If not you should reevaluate what you're feeding and where you're getting it from. I maybe see about to 250 to feed all of your pets but just the tegus,... no,.. wouldn't do it.

It didn't even cost me that much a month to keep 4 snakes, 3 tegus and 2 dogs fed and my dogs get premium food.

Ma,..n I had a question for you Reptastic but I forgot what it was lol that threw me off.
