So sorry - I was thinking he bent it trying to get out, and/or fell on it. It looks like he's having shed probs, so maybe Josh is right. The photo is really off-color, and it's hard to tell if he has a bad sore or something up his arm toward the shoulder? The juveniles climb and climb to find a way out - also they try over and over to pry their glass doors open. Maybe he got it caught in that....wouldn't surprise me.
