Check the fauna classifieds and kingsnake daily. They go fast though, so have your money ready.

I bought my blue Sobek off of Kingsnake. Check on a few hours basis, my blue was on Kingsnake for less than 24hrs before I bought him.

Hi joshus. Welcome to the forum. You can check out those two forums and see if they have any. I would check them every now and then because they always have new ones coming in. Good luck with finding the one you want.

Yes, good luck to that. I lucked out when I got my girl.I thank the fact that the fella wanted to pick up some boas and sold me his female for 200 bucks. I am trying to find a reasonable priced male for my female blue. Not an easy task ahead.

It may be difficult to buy a "blue" per say. Everyone feel free to jump in here and correct me, but a blue is still a T. merianea. I would look for a "normal" with high white coloration with diminished black markings. I admit that I have never seen a "blue" in person but looking at pictures, it appears that a T. merianea with more white is designated as a "Blue". It seems that the coloration may be genetic and would re-occur when cross bred.

It is this kind of question that makes Tegu's so fascinating. There is so little, (relatively), information available about them, their genetics, dominate/recessive markers etc. Since they make such intelligent, great pets, I wish I had the youth to really visit breeders and see out crosses and the various breeding offspring to see what really are their genetic patterns. Actually, it could be more than just a color morph study, it could go to temperament, size, longevity etc.

Blues are an unknown as of now. They've been labeled as T. merianae for now but little to no research has been done on them. They have different characteristics from the black and white and some are actually a light blue. I wouldn't call them high white black and whites.

I personally think blues are a different species, besides the pattern and coloration they are born black and gold not black and green are more prone to not hibernating and generally smaller in size.... good luck on your blue search I really wanted a blue but settled for a hybrid blue/red
