my tegu is trying to eat me!

hey soo recently I've been letting my black and white Argentine roam the living room under my supervision since he is almost 3 feet long now. the problem is that ever since i started feeding him rat pups, when i walk barefoot he chases me and bites my toes! it's actually hysterical even though he draws blood. anyone else deal with quirky funny behavior like this? just curious?

Yeah mine tried to bite my toes once or twice I just move my feet if he gets to curious or wear shoes. He hasn't done it in a while but I'm still leary of him around my toes.

I'd say either wear closed toed shoes when he is free to roam, or maybe wear socks. If the pups are alive when he is fed, he might mistake the toe movement for prey. So try to just cover your feet when he's out and I think that should help.

i feed frozen thawed but they still look like toes. lol its no longer flip flop season so we havent had any more barefoot mishaps.

My girl goes for the same spot on my ankle for a test bite. I make sure I wear socks now [emoji14]
