hello all, my name is matt just got my first tegu a argentine B&W. i have had him for a little over a week, and he is doin great. i have him set up in a 40 gal breeder ATM. i am alredy drawin up plans for the new enclosure. i have a r zilla 15 watt t8 uvb light ,and a 150w basking bulb that gets the basking spot at 102 the hot side at 92 and the cool in the mid 80s. he has a hide as well as a big rock water bowl. seems to be doin very well. he is still a little cage agresave but only for a few seconds but we are almost over it.

his diet is ground turkey a little repti cacium boiled egg and salmon or tuna. he is eating romain lettuce in is food. i havent tried fruit yet but maby this week we will try that and see how it goes.

so is my set up ok for now as well as his diet ??

Setup sounds ok, diet is ok but I would add a bit more variety as well as some whole prey, do away with the lettuce its doing nothing for him, try squash or zuchinni and as far as fruit same as anything keep it varied

try a pinky mouse first then try crickets once your tegu is comfortable with its enclosure then it will eat anything.
