This is Odin the red tegu. We got him or her at the reptile super show in Los Angeles. He or she was 2 months old he is now 4 months old. We are really hoping Odin is a boy otherwise we will rename. And unfortunately all the vets where we live do not do probing so we have to wait till he or she matures

Nice tegu, congrats. IMO its better to wait until they are large enough to tell yourself. I don't know how comfortable I am with people poking around those areas.

Yeah we were not really determined about it. So when we found out they didn't do probing I didn't care much, my only sad thought is I personally will not get to see my buddy grow up, my girlfriend will be taking care of him while I leave fir the air force. :(

That's what we are hoping for. And my god he is relentless and energetic now that he doesn't hide all the time. We had to switch him to a taller 40gal tank cause he was jumping up and grabbing the screen to get out. After moving him we put a metal screen mesh for the top and now he jumps like a foot in the air and bashes into the top. He is very smart, which really challenges us. Lol
