I'm going to be completely honest with you. When your animal is not eating because it is stressed, the last thing you want to do is take it out and add further stress. You should leave him alone for a week and continue trying to feed him. Feeding him in his cage is not going to turn him aggressive, especially not if it's just for a couple weeks while you get him started.
