I am sure this has been asked before but what is the diffence between parguayan and argentine reds if any? Will they not be able to tollerate the cold as well? Any difference in size or color? Dispostion?
The only difference that I know of is the color. The parguayan Tegu is more brown in color not a bright red.

Well that's good to hear. I just want to make sure he will be able to survive the winter here in Tampa. It just scares me a little because paraguay is a little more North. Anybody know how the high contrast reds from varnyard handle a winter?
As far as I know, Bobby houses his tegus outside all year long, and he's in Florida. There might be someone else here that could give you a more definitive answer though.
I spoke to Bobby today and he told me that all the reds and the black and whites will be fine outside year round here in FL. He does keep his outside too. Just incase if anyone else was wondering.
Here is a video for you to check out if you want to. Bert used to be the best Tegu breeder out there ( until he passed away ) . Everytime I see this video I wonder how in the heck can the Tegus breath in there. With all of the stuff on top of them lol. But he knew what he was doing.
