any uncooked meat is a suitable environment for Salmonella, but that does not mean all meat does contain Salmonella...

There have been recent reports of some Ground Turkey containing Salmonella. Though this does not mean all Ground Turkey contains Salmonella. A portion of the Ground Turkey from a single supplier has been contaminated. As of the last report I heard it was not determined which supplier has distributed contaminated Ground Turkey.

Herpgirl stated Cargrill has made a recall, so it may has been determined they are the source. This must be new information since the last report I've heard personally...

I do not want to minimize the problem Salmonella can cause, as it can be deadly... But I also do not want to exaggerate the problem...

Understanding the truth/facts is the best way to protect yourself from any risk...
