how old do tegu's have to be (i have a colombian) to sex them?

I would say 6-8 months. With argentines you can usually tell around 18-24" I'm not sure about Colombians. Keep an eye out for a hemipenis if you see your tegu pooping or for spurs. Those would indicate a male.
