I have been having the same problems with Gozer. I was thinking it may just be the season. He's been getting shed ease baths. With Zoey the pieces that are flaking off how does the new skin look?

Before she went to sleep, my gu had a cupple of dry old scales on her nose that she was scratching at and wouldnt come off. I took a pair of tweesers and carefully plucked off the old scales. It worked really well and she didnt fight it at all.

I've been having the same problem. Flaking skin and it's taking it's time coming off. My Gu also gets daily shed-ease baths :/

So many Reds with shedding issues. What's everyone feeding and enclosure specs? Tegus require a decent amount of humidity,.. they're tropical animals but not rain forest tropical to where they need baths or even high humidity constantly. Shedding issues usually point to diet or husbandry,.. one if not both may need to be adjusted.
