Gary has a darker head but not a black nose, it just depends on the parents/genetics. Some members have higher white tegus, both parents had a lot of white on 'em. Some tegus have darker parents.
I'd ask how large the box is. What company are they using to ship? I think thats about how much it would cost to ship Gary cross country using usps. I can't remember what box size I had entered but it was a fair size. Depending on the heat, I would opt for a slightly larger box and pay the extra shipping. The extra space might make it more comfortable for the tegu.
