Sketchy has a new enclosure. I went with the 8×4×6.5 Grow Tent. She loves it!!!! I can't believe the difference this made. It holds heat and humidity WAY better than her last enclosure. I'm not done yet. I still have to put rocks, plants and more stones for basking but she is in for now and loving it!!!! I will keep updates here.

Did you do any treatment to the wood that leads up to the basking area for mold and etc..? Or what kind of wood? Because I am seriously intimidated for whatever reason to do my grow tent build. Wanna get it perfect. Did you build a little base and a tarp over here it before putting down the substrate?

That’s what I did for my tegu, I don’t get her til Sunday but I have the light on and everything just to keep the temp going and to see how it is with and without lights. I’m just not sure what to put in for water and basking and that.

Those are pretty simple! You can use a large tupperware or small/low plastic storage bin for water, and for a basking area go and get a small stack of landscaping tiles or bricks from your local home store. You can also use those to build some little steps up to the water dish. Should be very minimal in cost

This is what I got so far, you can use any type of wood. But it’s better to get some from a dead tree or in a little forest. That why you know there isn’t anything on the tree. And before putting it in boil it to disinfect it

Yea, I did the same for my Argentine black and white. He loves it! So does my Savannah monitor. They are free roam but usually hang in the enclosure. They each have their own

The tents come with an extra floor base for extra protection and I laid down a tarp as well. The wood was extra pieces laying around. I didn't treat it or anything.

I had a lot of big stone in my yard. I took a few and I washed with soap and hot water and rinsed off real good.
