Sobek, question

So most of you have seen pics of Sobek. Is he a powder blue, a platinum, or what? The pics ice posted in previous threads do not do him justice. He's got a very light blue coloration all over his body, that white is blue in reality.

Help me out here!

Thanks.

He looks powder blue to me. The platinum is a deep vivid blue, but it is hard to call if you say the picture is not showing the blue

I would consider him a powder blue more so than a platinum because his white(blue)is so vivid

Perhaps these car colors, as examples, would help you decide what he is, as far as differences between the two colors?
I know how hard it is to show the blue coloring in pictures of the blue tegu's. It just does not work.

Wow, that really helps Rose. Between those 2 pictures, I'd have to say Sobek looks more like the first. The colors really only come out when he's out of his enclosure. I appreciate the help from all of you!

In my opinion those labels were used by different breeders/wholesalers to market their blues. I would try not to get caught up in the labeling of your blue other than it being a blue tegu.

Understood. Really nice looking AA by the way. Saw it on a different thread.
