Columbian gold and varnyard normal.

Second day together and they are good. Both in the same hide and is going good. No aggresive behavior at all so far.

Thank you. They are still doing good together. Tank was trying to lay on Dozer. Dozer wasn't having it. :) other than them both wanting the best basking spot, they are doing good.

Nice pic. took me a few seconds too spot them both lol. Really beautiful tegu's.

The only thing i'd worry about is the size and if both are captive. Eventually the Arg will out grow the other one.

Something i learned is when you have two lizards in the same cage its good to double up on things, like more basking spots, more hides and as for my beardies more veggie dishes.

Luv the names, Tank & Dozer, A Matrix fan I see, lol.....your tegu's are adorable.....

Actually, the names were a coincidence. Didn't realize the names were from the matrix till you mentioned it. Great movies though. :D

Both babies. The gold (Dozer) is almost 4 months. Tank is 1 month.

Seems like they already answered that question. :)

I have been thinking of putting my Col. and Extreme together... I would be heart broken to come home and only find one in the cage ;o( Both of my guys are super sweet, but instincts take over! Keep the updates coming! Thanks for the thread!

What about two similar sized columbians? Does the sex matter as much as it does with other reptile species? Or is it just temperament.

Sex matters! Depending on the age the male might hunt the female down and try to mate with her (if they're opposite sexes). Gary and Rango have had some issues before, Gary is about 3ft and hes been known to try mounting Rango and biting at the back of his neck. Rango is almost 3.5 ft, much heavier but is sooo submissive.

Also laying on top of each other is how they are showing dominance it is not cuddling like humans do. They sometimes do this to prevent the otherone from getting the proper basking temp. I put chevy my 24" extreme with my 3 foot b&W tonka and they have been fine. Tonka is three times as bulky as chevy they have a 4x3 foot asking area so everyone has their own basking area.

the second one is the cutest thing ever, reminds me of my two golden geckos
the female is less than the males size, and she likes to hitch a ride to the top of the tank sometimes lol
