I would do a deposit as soon as he starts taking them, I think hes already taking them. He usually sells out and people have to wait for someone to sell their deposit because of a change in plans. There was also an issue this year and some of the tegus did not make it, those who were first to reserve a tegu were able to get one. Those who were late to reserve one did not. Hopefully this will not happen again but IMO its better to put a deposit beforehand in case something odd does come up.
