Tegu missing scale problem

Just rescued this tegu not to long ago but he seems to be missing a scale and it doesn’t look to good , does anyone know what this is and if it serious ?

IMO it looks like an injury of some sort, possibly a burn. However your tegu is still really young which means with healthy feeding and after a few sheds that should go away.

I agree with Titsuda - it looks like it's already healing. Glad you got to rescue him/her. Looks like it needs some TLC.
