Please help. My enclosure is almost done. I live in Massachusetts so its winter here. Im having a alot of trouble finding cypress mulch. What can i use for mulch. Im not buying repti bark or coco husk bc my cage is way to big and it will break my pocket. So what kind of mulch and please show me a picture of the bag i can buy from lowes or homedepot asap. Thank you.

Im 10 mins from springfield.

2 hour drive just to get mulch naw. Not worth it for me. If it was half hour then id say yes.

I use peat moss and sand in mine. Wicked cheap but can get a little dusty

What kind of peat moss did you use and do you have a picture of the bag. Just play sand right.

I'm at work right now so I'll post a picture when I get out in he morning. At lowes or Home Depot it should be outside in a big white square bag. There's usually just one brand I believe. I used play sand and just mixed four parts peat to one part sand.

I have a huge enclosure its 9 ft long 7 ft high by 30 inches wide. With a 5 inch lip in the front. To fill it with 5 inches is alot lol.

Two bags of peat moss should do the trick. I have a 4x8 and 6 inch deap layer in mine with two bags of peat moss

All right sounds good i can return the bark chips. Let me know. I looked on lowes they didnt have any.

This is what i found on homedepot only one they carry. I figured 2 of theses and one 50 lbs play sand and 3 bricks of eco earth with one pine bark mulch should do they trick. What do you guys think.

Do you think 2 bags of peat moss that is 3 cubic ft and 3 bricks of eco earth with one bag of play sand would fill my 9 ft by 30 inches by 6inch lip fill that.

Probably, you could always add more if need be though.
