Yes they do.

Sounds like he was a little grumpy with you or the situation that happened when he became spooked.

If his mouth is closed when he's making noises, that's a huff. They forcefully exhale through the snout and it makes a little huff.

It's very distinguishable and actually quite comical when you realize just how often they do it and actually why they do it.

It's one of my favorite things about colombians.
