    Bedbug fumigation

Tomorrow the exterminators are fumigating my apartment for bedbugs. The exterminator said he is only doing the rooms as this is just a precaution. I have my Tegu inside a growing tent and he said that she should be OK in there. My tegu just started hibernating and Im debating if I should wake...

    Hay for substrate

Hi @AlphaAlpha Thank your for your quick reply. My Tegu seems to love the Straw, she was in a deep sleep for two full days inside her hide. I would open her hide and touched her and she just wanted to keep sleeping, something that usually she does not do when I wake her up. I was nervous...

    Hibernation- how will I Know

My Tegu is 4 months and I feed her everyday. Two days ago she only came out for about 90 min and yesterday for about the same so I thought that she may start hibernating. So I did not fed her those two days in preparation. But today was a different story, after she was out for about 3 hours I...

Fish oil or Cod Liver oil

After giving my Tegu Fish Oil on a few occasions I read a document somewhere in the internet that we suppose to give out tegus Cod Liver oil and not Fish oil. So my question is, which one is good for out Tegus? Also, is any one of them bad for our Tegus? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Belly color for hatchling

Glad is not something that I need to worry about. I got her in June from UndergroundReptiles in South Florida. I guess I’m lucky to have this Fire Belly morph. Can’t wait to see how she will look in a few years. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Belly color for hatchling

My almost two month Female Argentine B&W Tegu is shedding for her third time in her life. But her belly has always been like a yellow color. Is that the normal belly color for a hatchlink B&W? Will it change in the future or is the belly for B&W always that color?

    Tegu sleeping outside her hide

My one month old Zoey always slept in her hide but this past few days she has gone to sleep outside her hide. Habitat temperatures are correct so I was wondering what her behavior may mean. I believe she is more comfortable now and does not feel the need to hide but would like to hear the...

    Are Tegus that active?

@Zyn I didn't take it that way, I appreciate anyone taking time to say something. Today I got my "Digital Infrared Thermometer" and it seems that I have the correct temperatures. Her basking is around 115 F, ambient is around 85, and cool side is around 75.

    Are Tegus that active?

@Walter1, working on that. Hopefully by next month I have the custom habitat completed and it should be more easier to control the temperature inside her habitat. Interesting enough, today she was hyper again, and then she pee on her basking and calmed down. Perhaps she was telling me to take...

    Are Tegus that active?

@Zyn, I'm trying to work with what I have now. Thank you @Walter1 and @Gary; I have changed the settings, last night the habitat was 70 degrees and today the cold side stayed around 75 and the rest of the habitat in the 80's, the only think is that her basking spot only gets to 92 with this new...

    Are Tegus that active?

Yeah, Due to the habitat size ’m having a difficult time having a 70 degree cold side and keeping the basking spot hot. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
