You occasionally see the odd adult female b&w advertised. I think there is one on RFUK at the moment. I'm going to give my two another year to get to full growth and see what is around then if I can't find any more blues.
Are you thinking of holding back hatchlings to breed females back to your other male for blues ???? I know of someone else doing that at the moment, and may do the same if I don't find a female blue anywhere.
Getting to be a nice size now Chris :) Oh, and it looks like we both ended up with two males :( I'm trying to find two females to go with mine, but there only seem to be males available when I do find blues for sale !!!
Mine have a slight blue tint, but nothing like that. The smaller of my two has the most blue coloration though.

Yes I went back and bought the other blue. He/she is calming down, but still has one hell of a feeding reflex !!! The first one I bought is huge now, twice the size of the other one. They were identical in terms of size when I first saw them.
Still no idea on their sex. Somedays I would swear...

Monitors can become dog tame. It all depends on the amount of time you spend with them. I've had hand tame, perfectly docile ackies and boscs. A friend of mine has a huge water monitor that has the run of the house, using a litter tray in the upstairs bathroom !!
