I am pretty sure that arch is normal. When my tegu was that small, and had an empty stomach, his back would do that too when lying down. I also was a little taken back by it, but its normal.
Sorry to hear about Samus! Although unfortunate, if the tail heals bent unstead of breaking off, it could look kinda cool IMO, just looking at the brightside. I like when animals have little quirks.

Thanks Dave! I love him, he's becoming more puppy-like everyday. Ive noticed he has a bit of an overbite, I think it may be from that small case of MBD we ran into when he was tiny =[ I still think he is adorable, it gives him character.
Got a few pics of the rhino iguana my boyfriend and I picked up at the San Diego super show. My boyfriend decided to name him Powder Monkey lol, I guess it's pirate slang for 'gunner's assistant'. The little guy is crazy, super fast, but eats extremely well and is growing nicely. He's coming...
I think Marley is around 10 monthes now. He has been filling out and bulking up so much lately, and I thought he had stopped growing for the most part but turns out he grew another inch. Here's some pics of him being his lazy self today.
They are looking great! I love the pattern on the one in the back, he/ she going to look great when full grown. I would say the one in the front looks more like a male also, but the one in the back looks quite a bit like Marley who turned out to be a boy so you never know.
Yup, Marley eats his poop as well. He used to only eat his urates but now he just eats his poop and I also though it was because he wasnt getting enough to eat but he eats a ton and is a fatty so thats definatly not the case. Good to know I'm not alone here.
My boyfriend and I picked up a baby rhino iguana at the reptile super show this weekend in San Diego from Switzer Reptiles. He's gorgeous! He's got a ton of light blue and stripes, soo pretty. I'll get some pics up as soon as he is done shedding. This is my first iguana and Ive got his enclosure...
Havent been on here in a while so thought I'd post some new pics of Marley. His growing has slowed down quite a bit and has only grown two inches in the past two monthes. He is now about 38" but really heavy, definatly growing in muscle mass if not length and it looks like he's starting to grow...
