One more thing I noticed in a lot of videos of enclosures with adults in them. Not much depth to the substrate in some videos. Do adults dig less? Is it more important to just have the big hide?
I received my Tegu on Dec 5th he burrowed until the 11th. He when back down under and has been down ever since. He is about 4 months old and he arrived sluggish so im assuming he has been slowing down since the start of fall naturally.
Just going to let him be until he surfaces.

A question. I was looking at the coloring and it looks brown or tan.
Will it change as he ages? More white?
It is fine ill accept whatever color he is im just curious.
He ate a cricket 2 days ago before burrowing. Im a wee bit concerned about that but ill wait him out. He just arrived 3 days ago so he might be a bit stressed.
I put the new lid on his tank and the humidity imediately got better. Im looking for signs of him coming out while im at work but...

Hello everyone quick question. I have a 3 month old B&W and im already planning the adult enclosure in room. The place were i want the enclosure is not quit 4 foot wide. I can get nearly 96 long and 4 high but the width is narrower. Is the width more important then the height like in an arboreal...
