Yes somtimes happens it, i think that thy clean it before thy use it in the garden industrie. But it is just stone. Like i said, it is perfect for hatching eggs. does anyone here use it for his eggs??
And what if your temperatures cant get lower then 60 / 90 get this year. And your tegu continue to eat. Can I leave the temperature as it is,or just better for them to keep still on summer temperature?

Nice for the tegu. Buth 'm Not in favor of it for such pathetic animals at a pet store to buy. They have now sold the animals and will certainly not hesitate to buy back a tegu to sell . How pathetic it is, I think you better could leave the animal there...
here in holland they are not hard to get. I had both species in my colection, and no problems what so ever! The snakes are a little nervous, but not really difficult to handle.
