Baby blue hybrids for sale - price drop

Howdy, My babies are finally hatching. These are the result of pairing my Blue/BW male with my blue female. I am feeding them a variety of foods including: boiled eggs, ground turkey, chopped berries and very tiny insects. They are priced at $250 including shipping to the lower 48. If you...

After 4 years I finally have a fertile clutch

Well, maybe. My female (most are like this from what I've read) is wicked mean. She would likely be beating on the male nonstop so it might be more stressful for him.

After 4 years I finally have a fertile clutch

Oh, I have separate enclosures for them outside and only house them together for a month or so in the Spring. They have been separated.

After 4 years I finally have a fertile clutch

To be perfectly honest, when I noticed breeding occurring, I stayed clear, however, I didn't notice anything that was overly concerning from a distance. Are you looking for a pic of the male? Or literally asking where I keep him relative to the female?

After 4 years I finally have a fertile clutch

Yes. I placed a large plastic bin inside her enclosure with a hole cut in the side and provided a ton of debris. She spent a few days constructing it and then laid. The nest was jam packed full of debris. She made use of every bit of what I provided for her. I'm pretty excited! I've had to toss...

After 4 years I finally have a fertile clutch

I've been keeping tegus for about 6 ears now and started attempting to breed them 4 years ago with zero success. I live in San Antonio, TX and keep my adults outside and they hibernate every year, breed and lay eggs BUT the eggs are dried up simply because no matter what I did I could not keep...

    One of my blues

I've had this little guy/girl, along with several others, for several weeks now. This one is the lightest and calmest so far. I'll get pics of the others as they allow me to handle them.

How many roaches to feed two tegus?

I have a colony and at the size yours are, I'd avoid messing with it. They will consume a ton of bugs. Easier and cheaper to get them going on a diet of whole fish, eggs, and other items like that. I have several baby blues and they will go through tons of dubia a day if I let them.

    My blue from Ty

You're doing the right thing by offering a variety but like us, they sometimes have their favorites. I could eat spaghetti everyday myself lol.

    My blue from Ty

Looks good, can't wait to see progress pics. Have you tried tilapia or chicken hearts? They have a strong smell and that might encourage him to eat.

    Outdoor enclosure suggestions/photos?

I don't worry about it, it will take a few years to rot and when it does I'll replace it. By then I will upgrade to a larger design anyways so it works out.

    Possibly

    Outdoor enclosure suggestions/photos?

I use this for small tortoises and it would be OK for a young tegu as well. It wouldn't be the best for an adult, however. The dimensions are 8'X3'.
