Yeah, I'm going to give a few set-ups a try. First off, I'm going to cover the screens with foil and just poke holes for vent and a hole for the fogger/light. I don't want to make a wood top with all the fog that will be trying to escape into the wood.
So hodur had a bunch of protozoa bacteria inside him, its normal to have some, but he had a lot of them. Will know if there are any parasites tomorrow. Till then, we are going to revert to feeding crickets and only use the raw meat for his medicine.

Yeah, I don't know if I can point it at dehydration, his ambient humidity is 60-70 based on the gauge I have on his hot side. so the sub-level will be more humid since I can see the moisture through the glass beneath the surface.
Currently Hodur eats whole ground chicken, currently working on adding some variety to his diet. But I've noticed, that unless he's pooping under the top layer of soil while he's burrowing and I'm missing them when I mix up his substrate, I don't think I have seen him leave a large poop since...
yeah, i think if you want the grass, you'd be better off with those grass patches if they make them without chemicals, but honestly tegu's are wrecking balls and pretty much rearrange anything and everything at will once they are big enough to move it lol
Well, that's kind of the point to this thread, is pointing out that it is based on an individual basis. just like people, each tegu has a different temperament. some grow into it, some are born on the aggressive side, and some (as unfortunate as it is) are neglected into it. But, I don't think...
Yeah, my guy was content with sitting on my shoulder while i made up his cage, very surprising to me for a brand new reptile. When I cycle his substrate every day he just sits there XD.
