i'm using aspen. i was using cypress and coco bark but its too messy and aspen is easier to spot clean. it isnt worrying me or anything. i was just curious. i actually think its kind of cool/funny
i would NEVER own a wild caught animal. why would someone want to support the market for wild caught endangered animals? i mean come on! tens of thousands or savanna monitors are imported into europe and the US every year and most of them last about a year. plus this is a species which we know...
i feed my tegu in my bathtub so he doesnt get cage aggresive and he will eat a little bit but then he just tries to get out. if i put him back in his cage then offer him some food he will eat alot more.
any advice?
i know the minimum requirment is 3 feet high but i was wondering if it would be ok if i housed a full grown arg. b&w tegu in a 6 ft long 3 ft deep by 30 inches high cage. this way i could fit the cage in my room.

is boiling water really necessary?? i mean i would just soak it in bleach water. that seems ok to me. and as far as substrate goes, i think i am done with cypress mulch. only aspen for me now. is that ok?
