General rule is by six ish months you can try checking but of course it depends on size too. If you have a real good trained eye (which I personally do not), you can tell the gender from birth
My girl will also only eat certain fruits, some she turns her nose up at every time I offer it, some she only eats occasionally if she's in the mood, and some she seems to almost always enjoy, so it could also be a matter of still trying to find what she likes
Yeah then it's likely guberty setting in! Don't get discouraged, it will end. Just try your best to be patient and if he's being aggressive, put him away, take his food away, and try again later. Don't reward any bad behavior, but understand he can't help it
Likely guberty. You say he bites at your fingers, do you feed him with your hands? Or with tongs? If its mostly food aggression you could probably solve some of the aggression with re-thinking your feeding routine so he doesn't associate you interacting with him to mean food time

Honestly I don't think no one wants you to draw their tegus, this forum has just felt dead for the past few weeks  not really sure what happened but it feels like since 2021 started there's been barely any traffic on here
An update- looks like the laws set to restrict ownership/sales/breeding of tegus in Florida just passed unanimously (https://www.tampabay.com/news/environment/2021/02/25/florida-restricting-sales-of-pythons-and-lizards-amid-fears-of-invasive-species/)
Good thinking, and in my opinion, the reptilinks are not even as expensive as some people make them seem. Their young tegu blend is $80 and sold as a 6 month supply, which is about $13 a month to feed excellent nutritional food to your tegu. I do reptilinks and weekly whole prey for my girl, I...
