I got mine from tegusonly too. I will be using him anytime I want a tegu. Ask him if he has any that look like blues. All the ones in florida now were once from breeders so he may have some. He carries all sizes.
I have not been bitten by my tegu yet. She has never tried. Bites from tegus are a rare thing once they are adults. I doubt you could tell a difference between the two as far as pain from a bite. Cant really go wrong with a tegu
