My tegu is a female and she is very docile. It could be that we handled her a lot since we have had her. She's so great she even comes right up to us and looks up at us for attention. Good to know about the eggs, I wondered if they still laid the egss and they just were not fertilized without a...
I don't have a feeding schedule yet...I've tried different things and there are only certain things s/he will eat...been very picky so far. I'm still in experimental phase figuring out what kind of foods will be eaten
So far my tegu has eaten a blueberry, watermelon, pinkies, dusted crickets...
I read a lot of information and vitamin bottles that reference the Calcium Phosporous ratio 2:1. How do they get the phosphorous, is it through their diet or another vitamin supplement?
Cool thanks Davedragon, that's good to know...

I know mine was in the pet store for while before we brought it home. I hope I'm not worrying too much, it looked healthy to me and hopefully is not sick. Do they grow less if in a smaller cage? How can you tell if there may be a health problem?
Another question on taming...when you are trying to get them used to your hands and such, I know it takes a while but can they get too stressed out over efforts to move them into another feeding bin?
Yes with the tail. I feed once a day but one of my friends said he feeds his 2x a day. Does it depend on age or is 2x daily okay if they eat smaller portions?
I've been trying to keep my B&W's temp in the right range (Day: 80-90F) but I noticed s/he was still burrowing. I am wondering if the burrowing is a sign of hibernation?
