That's interesting. Curious, is this advisable for other reptiles too? Can other reptiles drink tap water? I know I usually read people saying we should use bottles of water etc.
You're most welcome! I didn't realize you already had a cage, with a large cage like that, I would definitely go for the Savannah. :) Congratulations on your decision.
As for the poop, here are a couple youtube videos that will give you an idea:
Savannah pooping...
I don't own either of them but this is what I know:
Ackies
Pros:
1) SMALL :)
2) They are very social and can live in groups; most people get them in pairs or trios which makes them very interesting to watch.
3) At their size; albeit easier to handle. If you had to take time to tame one...
Sigh. You can debate all you want that he was referring to Reptilecrazy666 as a third-person because blahblahblah (despite clearly stating "on a side note") - but what was more important and brazenly obvious is the tone of his "welcome" to Reptilecrazy666; it was judgmental and uncalled for. And...
For someone talking about respect, I find it very rude of you to judge both her username and who she decided to name her tegu after. Also, talking about the OP in third person, also... rude.
Welcome to the forum as well. He or she is very cute.
Thankyou. 2 feet seems a little small then or is that perfectly normal? Would MBD be an issue? I just want to know what to expect IF I do adopt the little guy. :)
Here are the photographs. The owner got him 4 years ago at a reptile expo, he thinks it may be male but he is unsure. Let me know...
Hi everyone, I am new here and I have some questions. I may be adopting a blue tegu; the owner says he is about 4+ years old, probably a male and around 2 feet.
Do blue tegu males grow to about 2 feet then?
Thank you in advance. The owner will send me photographs soon and I'll post...
