Oh, one other note: I have a pretty strong pain tolerance.... however, I try to avoid his bites like anyone else would, but I am not scared of them. It did not hurt bad enough for me to be too scared to touch him ever again. And I do feel that way about hamsters and will not touch or hold them...
I have been bitten by mine, only twice. Once on the neck and once on the arm. The neck was my fault, because I knew it was coming but I was laying on the couch and he crawled up by my face and was smelling my face/neck like crazy (the way he ALWAYS does before he bites his food)... I knew it was...

Try microwaving the turkey just enough to warm it up and only semi-cook it... That really helped me and now he would probably eat it frozen if i stuck it on his plate Lol
Really? Yours is finicky? I am lucky, mine will wolf down fruit no problem. It does help to mix it in the turkey but even if i don't he will still eat it. The only thing he has ever refused was chicken liver and that was when he was a baby... he would probably eat it now. He has an insane...
Thanks everyone :) Yes, its turkey with really super juicy blueberries mixed in (my hands are stained purple as well) not eyeballs LOL. Although I may be curious if he would eat an eyeball.. I am sure he would he will eat just about anything! ^_^ As long as its not MY eyeballs I guess... hee hee
I am Megan and Frank is my Argentine Black and White Tegu. He is 36" nose to tail and I have had him since 12". I think he would be bigger if he did not hibernate this past winter. I am going to try and keep him from hibernating this year unless he really insists on it. He is my boy! He is very...

I have:
Flukers Calcium + vitD3
Rep-Cal Calcium with no d3
Reptivite (forgot which brand since I have it in a salt shaker)

although I have all of these supplements I basically just use Minerall on everything...
I just got done with my little dude's morning feeding and I was very very pleased to see that for the first time since I have had him, he had a normal body girth. A nice plump well rounded little belly with no look of impaction or being underweight. He is coming along nicely and is now pooping...
I have no idea. It was like that when the lady dropped him off, I just didn't realize it at the time. I noticed his hand looked a little funny immediately, but I thought it was just the way he was sitting. I didn't want to stress him out to much immediately, so I left it alone until the next...
I am in Washington State, Snohomish County. If anyone knows of a local reptile vet who is great and what the base visit fee is, I would love to know. My vet that I have always gone to just retired and now the clinic no longer serves exotics. I have been researching all the local clinics, but the...
