I have 2 Larger 8x4x4 enclosures, made from plywood basically, with 2 plexiglass front doors, and the side has vents. I only use substrate in the hide box, otherwise I use fake turf under the basking spots. My red seems to be the only one affected by this low humidy. I live in San Diego, CA...

Get those garden misters!!! Home depot has a fair sized one for 10bucks!!! Its that thing people use to spray pestisides, it will make it easier and you wont have to fight with the water bottle when you wanna get under things! You can do it 4 times a day and its no biggy, and not very time...
I wish I had room for another baby! I got my female and she is just tame and amazing! Would it be a bad idea to house two from the same batch, if they are opposite sex? =/ the obvious answer tells me you shouldnt.... :doh
I actually have my 3 month argentine red and my new baby Extreme housed together in my 8x2x2 enclosure. I can tell you just with experience with my other lizards, that if you have happy lizards, you can put them together, meaning, kind of how you mentioned, you need to have at least 1 hide each...
I got him from the San Diego Reptile Expo from House of Scales, located in Kansas, I never really got any information other than his parents are from Ron St. Pierre? but I dont know if he breeds reds... anyways, its an awesome tegu and I have been working with him everyday since I got him...
