    :( tegu for sale. (updated)

I am sad to announce that due to circomstance, I am forced to give up tegu:cry: I have already posted ads for her on usedottawa and kijiji for the Ottawa/Orleans region for those who are in canada on here. But if shipping is possible, maybe someone here could take her. I just want the best for...

    Introducing new foods !help!

My tegu is almost a yearling and is very picky when it comes to her food. She'll eat any meat and worm no problem, but has no interrest in fruit and veggies. She'll maybe eat a little on occasion, but nothing more. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Has anyone else seen this sad video?

Don't people eat tegus in South America? I know to us, it seems cruel but we're the ones who domesticated one of their side orders.. I'm ok with it, aslong as they do that kind of stuff over there. But if some local guy fed his tegu to his dog, then the dog and guy would have another thing coming.

CONGRESSIONAL HEARING TO BAN REPTILES! *HR669 DEFEATED!!*

I'm glade to hear that it didn't pass. What a stupid debate. Pretty much of all the animals in the States are imported, thousands would of lost their jobs as the pet industry would of gone down the drain. And what would they have done with all the confiscated animals? Destroy them? Damn, that...

    Is cedar mulch ok?

Thanks for the suggestions, but the stores you've mentioned, I doubt they have branches in Canada, I did however remember of a gardening store near here that may have cypress mulch.

    Free Roaming tegu?

You can, but just make sure to keep on eye on them when free roaming. You wouldn't want them getting into trouble. It's a good thing to also soak them before incase nature calls too.

    I got bit

When I watch my tegu crunch on mice, I can just imagine what it would feel like for a thumb. Ouchies. I must say though, you have balls. Knowing that she's defending a nest, I wouldn't have the courage to take mom on XD

    Is cedar mulch ok?

Just a quick question, but I was wondering if cedar mulch would be safe to use for tegus. I went to the Home Depot near my house and they don't have any cypress mulch. I did however try this stuff called BeatsPeat coconut coir. It's pretty cheap, and its the kind of earth that you need to add...
