Which part of the world are you located? I forgot to ask but Yes in some parts of the world the tegus are slowing down into brumation already.

oh to add to my post... I also let them roam free in my backyard when i'm out there doing general yard work or whatever.
They just follow me around everywhere like a pack of puppies. This is great exercise for them.

i know this is an old post but Yes there are quite a few tegu breeders in California... in fact I think CA is 2nd to FL in terms as the number of tegu breeders within the state. Just gotta hose down the enclosures a little more often on the west coast.
