    Hello Everyone! (From Massachusetts)

They are black and whites with red tints to their bellies. Breed a "firebelly" to a "firebelly", and you will not get "fire bellies". These occurred in nature primarily due to what they ate, the water they drank and the nutrients within the food/water they took in - much like a certain types of...

    Hello Everyone! (From Massachusetts)

Welcome. Nice looking tegu. There's no such thing as a firebelly. That is just a made up term. A black and white is a black and white, some are whiter than others, some have reddish bellies, some are dark, etc.

    Argentine/Colombian Cross??

Tank is a Colombian tegu, 100%. Your female Giggins (if she's an Argentine), should never be housed with Tank. If she's a Colombian, then it may be possible.. But only later on, after quarantine, etc.

Can this be an argentine black and white tegu?

It's an Argentine. As Bubblz said the green fades away at different times with different tegus.

    Good and bad news

The biggest difference I noticed in comparing my rhino and other Cyclura to the tegus I've kept was their interaction with me. Tegus were great and tame with me, but seemed to always go for food over handling and would get excited when food was in place. My Cyclura, rhino included always...
