    Yes, it's not unreasonable to ask a price for your animal, also it's not unreasonable for RESCUES to not pay for animals they are rescuing. Shipyourreptiles.com is one I've used in the past. They do a good job of educating the sender on how to do it, and of providing the supplies you'll need.
