i was just randomly thinking some stuff through out yesterday, and i came across a thought "how will it effect tegus as the Global Warming gets worse, will they ever breed again? will they ever hibernate again?

You are misunderstanding things.
Global Warming doesn't mean increase in mid/temp in all continents.
In South America Is seen as longest rain seasons.
In the Rain Season most tegus Hibernate.
